Przedecki

The Przedecki family has been searched for some time.
The origin of this family is, as far as is known now, in Poland. Presumably / probably they come from the Polish town Przedecz (przedecz.net, map, more history, Jewish community of Przedecz, jewishgen.org). The name of the town is pronounced Pshedetch, with emphasis on the first syllable, the letter P sounds very modest. The Jewish name for the town was Pshaytsh, (holocaust victims of Pshaytsh). In WWII the Germans called it Moosburg. The Przedecki's are a Polish Jewish Ashkenazi family, and because of the persecution of the Jews they have wandered all over the world, to the USA, South America (Argentina), France, Germany and The Netherlands. Because it's a name related to a place, several unconnected families share the name. There are a number of different branches, possibly all related quite high up the tree (prior to surnames being adopted) but impossible to prove. The spelling of the surname in the male line is Przedecki, in the feminine line it's Przedecka. The pronunciation is Pshedetski.
