Omdat deze website redelijk populair is (3000-4000 hits per dag) krijg ik nog al eens het verzoek van iemand om een link te plaatsen of aan link-ruil te doen.

Ik doe niet aan link ruil. Laat elke site zijn eigen populariteit maar verdienen, zonder mee te liften op andere sites.
Als uw informatie interessant genoeg bevonden wordt, of als u een goed product hebt, zult u gemakkelijk links naar uw site krijgen.
Bovendien houdt Google niet van linkruil, ze bestraffen het zelfs.

Natuurlijk begrijp ik dat producenten reclame maken.
Met reclame timmer je aan de weg en maak je mensen attent op je product.
Dus meeliften op andere websites (die populair zijn) is aantrekkelijk.
Ik plaats uitsluitend links naar onderwerpen nadat ik daar zelf een (grondig en vergelijkend) onderzoek naar gedaan heb of die website toegevoegde waarde voor mijn site heeft.
En uw product hoort daar op het ogenblik niet bij.
Als ik nu een link plaats, kunt u me dan uitleggen waarom ik gratis reclame voor u zou maken?

Voor mijn website ben ik volledig selfsupporting, heb voor het onderhouden ervan geen (financiële) ondersteuning nodig.
Het heeft geen zin mij te benaderen voor linkruil, voor het plaatsen van een link naar uw site, of voor het plaatsen van een link op uw site.

I do not do link exchange. Let each site earn its own popularity, without hitching a ride on other sites.
If your information is considered interesting enough, or if you have a good product, you will easily get links to your site.
Besides, Google doesn't like link exchange, they even penalize it.
Link Placement Advertising
Of course I understand that producers advertise. With advertising, you're lumbering and making people aware of your product. So hitching a ride on other websites (that are popular) is attractive.
I only post links to subjects after I have done my own (thorough) comparative research on them. And your product is not part of that at the moment.
If I post a link now, can you explain to me why I should advertise you for free?

For my website I am completely self-supporting, I don't need any (financial) support to maintain it. It makes no sense to approach me for link exchange, to place a link to your site, or to place a link on your site.
