  1. NB: the 2610 does store the maps on a CompactFlash datacard; the 2620 on a internal hard disk; therfore the 2620 is not suitable for use on motorbikes.
  2. My brandnew Streetpilot 2720 (summer 2007) did have a kind of spot on the screen in full sunlight. Looks like condensation, but it has something to do with the layers of the touchscreen. Unacceptable for a unit of this price. I did return it (full warranty) for a GPSmap 278.
  3. Excellent units. Big advantage: connected to your pc you can access the internal memory of the 2820.
  4. As always prices are not 'fixed', but subject to special offers.
  5. Whatever you want to spend...   Mentioned price is my guess (anno 2018, based on Marktplaats and Ebay) for a functioning and complete set in decent condition [manual, cables (usb power/data - vehicle power cable with speaker - AC charger), mounts (automotive - marine), datacard (if applicable), Garmin subscription, etc].

Kuren

Als een 2610 / 2720 / 2820 onverklaarbare kuren krijgt (knipperend beeldscherm, van de kaart afrijden waardoor je elke keer de navi uit/aan moet zetten, je drukt op een veld en er gebeurt iets geheel anders) dan komt dat w.s. door vuil in de rand van het touch-screen. Maak met behulp van een dun stukje papier de rand tussen het scherm en de behuizing schoon. Dat is in 9 van de 10 gevallen de oplossing. En anders is er een grondiger schoonmaak nodig.
